BecomeBecome, a pop-up artists’ residency out of Barcelona, Spain guided a 12 day journey into a creative and grounded process with 13 global artists in Ubud, Bali, Indonesia. We participated in cross cultural exch art exchanges, a transdisciplinary symposium with artists, curators and teachers and had an in-process exhibition in the beautiful Bali Purnati Yayasan.

I showed a video based on a piece I started exactly 11 years earlier in Ubud, about this idea od lineage and how thin the veil is in Bali. This is a work about ancestry, about offering and lineage; it is about the space between the Seen + Unseen or in Balinese - the Sekala and Niskala. The video installation was shrouded in the floral offerings and set against the dramatic jungle setting of beautiful traditional teak building at Bali Purnati.
