FERTILE GROUND | BERLIN
SOMOS GALLERY BERLIN
MFA SHOW | TRANSIENT TRANSGRESSIONS
Thesis installation FERTILE GROUND is a bedroom installation in which the bed and the grave are associated by the earth-made bed out of which blossoms grow at the foot . The projections of blossoms and bees as well as footage of the compost with insects intersect with the performer wearing a garment covered in garden images merge the body and earth. This work speaks to the feminine, the soil, the garden and the unconscious. The life cycles are impregnated by the micro organisms that work the soil, similarly our cycles of sleep and dream life are a part of preparation for death.
